What dose the Bible have to say about Gluttony?

Gluttony is a sin that many Christians find easy to laugh about and accept has harmless while sins such as being an alcoholic or adulterer are quickly attacked. The sin of gluttony is idolatry - it is a choice to self-love, comfort, and control through food.

 This story came to be from a personal experience of health issues, they developed over a 5 year period, finely being addressed when my body said, "enough" were shutting down, and it did. I'm in my 6th week and adjusting, everyday is a learning curb, some days are good and some are a struggle, however, my body and myself are a community, we are working together.

I never went to a doctor, well I went to emerg. in 2015 when food went in and nothing came out. I watched 2 people who came in after me go in first, and a nurse behind the glass who took your info. hawk up a snot ball and spit it in the garbage can, right in front of me, I near puked, she could have use a Kleenex and turned her head, like a lady, but no, spit in a garbage can, who gets to clean that?

So I left, came home and spent the month of October treating myself.
